사회복지학에 입문하기 위한 학생들에게 사회복지의 전반적인 이해를 높이기 위해서 기초개념, 사회복지의 실천방법, 사회복지 분야 등을 숙지시키기 위한 내용으로 구성한다. 우선 사회복지의 개념, 발달과정, 가치와 이념 등에 관해 살펴볼 수 있는 내용을 다룬다. 사회복지 실천방법에 대해서는 일반적인 사회복지실천 과정, 미시적 방법론, 거시적 방법론 등으로 구분하여 학습하도록 한다. 사회복지분야론은 산업사회의 소외집단에 대한 사회복지서비스의 내용과 특정세팅에서 제공되는 전문사회사업실천 등으로 구성된다. 마지막으로 한국 사회변동에 따른 사회복지 전문직의 전망과 사회복지의 과제에 관한 논의를 실시한다.
교과목해설(영문)
This course provides a broad survey of the social welfare profession, its history, and the values and ethics that are fundamental to this profession. An overview of social welfare theory, practice, policy, research and the diversity of the societal population are integrated in exploring the knowledge, values, and skills base of the social welfare profession. Students are introduced to generalist social welfare practice and the use of critical thinking in the helping professions.
